We believe AI-powered work will increasingly depend on
two human roles working together.
A curious builder who finds new ways to use the latest AI tools and tests them quickly.
A domain expert who checks the work and decides what is good enough to use.
One explores what is possible. The other decides what is valuable.
Businesses will need both.
Minisodas Labs is being built for this future.
Back to topA free, invitation-based platform for people who like automating uncreative tasks and experimenting with AI.
It brings together students & builders who experiment with AI and publish their work, and domain experts who back the published work that’s genuinely useful. Businesses come to Labs to find these people.
There is a lot of AI slop on the internet, and it will only grow as AI makes content easier to generate.
To avoid that, Labs brings together qualified people who use AI to deliver valuable outcomes. That’s why it’s invite-only.
No, it’s completely free. Labs is an initiative to help people adapt to the future of work.
No, not at all. AI is making it far easier for anyone to build software and write code, so you don’t need to be a “tech person”.
If you’re curious, sharp and understand what AI can do, you can join. We think most future jobs will mean working with AI and finding new ways to automate uncreative tasks. Labs is for people who have already started working that way.
On GitHub, Kaggle and similar platforms, anyone can post anything.
Labs is invite-only: only invited people can publish, and we review every experiment before it goes live. It’s also about results rather than code: what an AI experiment set out to do and how it turned out, in one simple format anyone can read.
A small, focused test of an AI tool / model (self-made or off the shelf) on a real task.
For example: getting AI to turn a messy voice note into a clean to-do list. Or having it read 200 customer reviews and list the 5 most common complaints.
For more detailed examples, see our case studies.
The two roles on Labs. Experimenters are students & builders who experiment with AI and publish their work on Labs. Evaluators are domain experts (3+ years in a field) who try the published work in their field and put their name behind the ones that hold up.
We think these are the two human roles for the future of work with AI. More on this in the next question.
A fair question, and one we answer on our home page.
In short: AI is good at doing tasks, but people are still needed to imagine new ways to use it and to decide what’s actually good enough. That’s why we’re bringing the right people together on this platform: people who believe in this way of working and are ready to adapt.
We believe AI-powered work will increasingly depend on two human roles working together: the rapid experimenter, who finds new ways to use the latest AI tools and tests them quickly, and the evaluator, a domain expert who checks the work and decides what is good enough to use.
One explores what is possible. The other decides what is valuable. Businesses will need both. More on our prediction.
You can get your practical AI experiments published under your name, add them to your portfolio, and get discovered by businesses.
Fill in the waitlist form on this page and choose “An experimenter”. That puts you on the waitlist.
To start submitting experiments, you need an invite. We review profiles and send invites before launch.
Some experience with AI, a curious mindset, and a habit of building and testing things quickly. Add your CV or LinkedIn in the form so we can see your work.
So we can review your profile and invite you before launch. Both are optional, but we need at least one to consider you for an invite.
Start submitting your AI experiments. We review them and shortlist the strongest, and the most useful ones are published on the Labs page under your name.
It adds to your portfolio, and businesses browsing Labs can find you through your work.
You, always. Your work is published under your name. Labs just gives it more visibility.
You can increase your reach by rating published AI experiments in your field, and put your name behind the ones that hold up.
Fill in the waitlist form on this page and choose “An evaluator”. That puts you on the waitlist.
To start rating published experiments, you need an invite. We review profiles and send invites before launch.
At least 3 years of experience in your field, and some experience using AI. Add your CV or LinkedIn in the form so we can see your work.
So we can review your profile and invite you before launch. Both are optional, but we need at least one to consider you for an invite.
Browse the AI experiments published in your field, try them out, and put your name behind the ones that hold up.
We’re starting with experimenters, so it may take a while before there’s published work in your field.
You get relevant AI work in your field to try, use at your workplace and talk about on professional platforms like LinkedIn. Putting your name behind the experiments that hold up builds your recognition.
You also see first-hand how students & builders are experimenting with AI.
Each experiment belongs to the experimenter who made it. When you back one, your name is shown with it.
You can find the people behind AI experiments that worked on tasks like yours: the experimenters who built them, and the domain experts who backed them.
You also get AI experiments hand-picked for your industry and the problems you want solved, and your own Labs profile on launch day.
Fill in the waitlist form on this page and choose “A business”. Once you’ve submitted it, we’ll ask (optionally) about a workflow or pain point you’d like to see tackled with AI.
Instead of guessing who can help you with AI, you see real work by real people, in one simple format you can compare at a glance. Some of it is also backed by domain experts in your field. Then you can contact the people behind it.
After you join the waitlist, we ask about a workflow or pain point you’d like to see tackled with AI. Using your answer, we look for experiments that match, and contact you when we find the right one.
Getting the right people and experiments in takes a little time, so this won’t be instant.
